Summary

In Chapter 23, Cassie and Sam took over interviewing Damien. Damien pretended not to know Rosalind until Sam showed him phone records of their calls. When Sam suggested that he wanted to understand why Damien had killed Katy, an innocent girl, Damien told them that Katy was not innocent. He went on to explain that Katy told her father things to get Jessica and Rosalind in trouble. Damien said that Jonathan hit Rosalind and Jessica, that he broke Rosalind’s skull when he hit her with a poker, and broke Jessica’s arm. Damien said that Katy would watch what was happening and laugh. When Cassie asked if Jonathan was having sex with his daughter, Damien said that he was, that Katy liked it.
