Chapter 55-60 Summary

In Chapter 55, Conner finds Vanessa's bravery in the face of Dahlia, attractive. Conner questions Tony about his sexuality, wondering if he ever slept with a girl, or if he was born gay. Tony doesn't know, because all of his sexual experience -willing and unwilling- has only ever been with men. Conner finds it nice to know that other people have problems, and some, like Tony, have the biggest.

In Chapter 56, Tony reveals he was in juvenile hall for beating up his mother's boyfriend. Tony is testing the waters to see if he can fully trust Conner.

In Chapter 57, in the bathroom that night, Vanessa overhears Dahlia and Paul in one of the stalls.
