Chapter 13-18, Conner to Vanessa Summary

In Chapter 13, Conner reflects on Emily, whom he fell for hard. He says he would be with Emily now, if she had given him the choice. She was too worried about what others would think. Conner is from California, and is a twin brother to his sister Cara. Yet both siblings are different as night and day. Where Cara is more confrontational, Conner is more laid back. Conner recounts how it took him a long time to talk to Emily, who jogged past his house every day. The first morning they talk, he tells her she is beautiful.
