Chapters 11-12 Summary

In chapter 11, Officer Delinko stops by the construction site and finds a piece of green shirt on the fence. At the same time, Beatrice and Roy are rushing away from the site with an unconscious Mullet Fingers. The infection in Mullet Fingers' arm has gotten bad and they are desperate to figure out what to do. Across town, Branitt is preparing to spend the night in the construction trailer in order to keep a watch out for the vandals. Alone in the trailer, Branitt hears a noise in the bathroom. Although it is only a mouse, Branitt fires his gun and destroys his toilet. Back at the Eberhardt house, Officer Delinko has come by to ask questions about Roy.
