Chapter 14 Summary

Stephanie sends Lula to get the BMW, but Lula discovers the car was stolen. Stephanie calls Vinnie for a ride. Morelli calls and tells Stephanie that a suspect connected to his case was found murdered. Back at the office, Stephanie calls the bank and asks about Shempsky. Stephanie thinks Shempsky could be the one who put the bomb under her Porsche since he was only one of a few who knew she was driving the car. However, Shempsky is not at the bank but has gone home sick. Stephanie retrieves her Buick from her apartment parking lot and goes to Shempsky's house. Shempsky is not there. Stephanie steals a picture and takes it to her witness. The woman positively identifies Shempsky as the man who she saw with Fred the day he disappeared.
