Chapter 23 Summary

Not long after Luke and Artoo's escape, they notice that Mara is not far behind them. Flying low over the forest, Luke attempts a maneuver to get them away from Mara and instead they crash into the forest. At the same time, Grand Admiral Thrawn and his immediate crew arrive on Myrkr and are greeted by Karrde. To Karrde's dismay, Thrawn comments on the crash that has just occurred in the forest. Karrde knows it is probably Mara and Luke that are involved but he wants to keep the Empire out of the affair. Thrawn insists on sending stormtroopers to aid in a search and rescue mission.

Inside Karrde's compound, Han and Lando are watching through a window the goings-on outside. One of Karrde's associates slips up and mentions that there is a prisoner on the premises and he might have gotten away which would explain Mara's hasty pursuit. Looking...
