Chapter 9 Summary

Grand Admiral Thrawn, on board the Chimaera, prepares for a three-pronged attack on the New Republic. The Chimaera, along with other Imperial vessels, jump to lightspeed to arrive at their respective destinations. When Thrawn and the crew arrive at Bpfassh he orders the commencement of the attacks.Joruus C'baoth controls the attacks on the other two locations, using his Jedi powers to keep the attacks coordinated and to allow only minimal losses. Before the New Republic has the chance to bring in reinforcements, Thrawn orders all the attacks off and calls back all the ships. With C'baoth's duties accomplished for the moment, he persists with Thrawn to deliver on his promise to bring him Luke and Leia.
