Chapter 22 Summary

Noel and Aria go to the hole for the séance. Esmeralda is the one that channels Ali. Aria asks Ali who killed her. Ali says she'll write it down. Spencer is watching Esmeralda, Aria and Noel out her window. When Aria and Noel return to the car, Aria reads the note that says Ali killed Ali.

Chapter 22 Analysis

Ali's note saying she killed Ali indicates that Ali did run away. It is also an indication that Ali faked her own death. The reason Ali ran away and faked her own death has something to do with a family secret that is yet to be revealed.
