Chapter 13 Summary

Aria and Mike re hanging out at home with their father and his new pregnant girlfriend, Meredith. After the adults leave the room, Mike mentions that Noel saw Aria yesterday, but he doesn't say where. When the doorbell rings, Aria hides, thinking it's the press. Instead, it's Noel. He asks to speak to Aria alone. He ends up telling her he was at the séance to try to talk to his brother Jared that hung himself a few years ago.

Chapter 13 Analysis

Aria is starting to learn that everyone has their own secrets. She also learns not to stereotype or judge a book by its cover. She has always assumed Noel is a jock and perfect and doesn't have any problems. When he tells her about his brother, she realizes that his problems and secrets are just as real as her own...
