Summary

Lucas goes to the Darling farm in Chapter 11. The night before, Darling had called Poole after checking the Internet for news about what happened to Poole’s parents and Marilyn Campbell. Poole advised him to leave. Darling wanted to hide his money, which amounted to almost 2 million dollars, better and finish some farm work before leaving, though. He had taken care of the money and is cleaning the barn when he sees Lucas arrive. As he does not know whether Lucas is one of the drug-cartel killers, or the police, he lets his wife, Janice, know that Lucas is coming and that she is to leave her cell phone on.
