Summary

Act II, Scene IX – Though safely away from the crossroads, Thomas is still angry over the encounter. Rownie is congratulated for his bravery. Rownie wonders how it is possible that Graba can keep finding him, but not Rowan. He worries that Rownie is dead. Semele does not believe so. Graba, she explains, is very good at finding things. If Graba didn’t expect to find Rowan, she wouldn’t still be looking. Semele goes on to explain to Rownie that they will never Change someone against their will. Rownie is not being changed. Besides, Semele goes on to explain, they need someone unChanged and masked. The troupe then eats dinner as they continue the journey down Riverside Road toward Zombay.
