Chapter 30, Eddard Summary

Eddard walks in on Robert having an argument with his squires because his armor does not fit. Robert wants to fight in the tourney that day. Eddard tries to talk him out of it, but Robert only changes his mind when his possible opponent claims he will not hit the King. When the argument is over, Robert confesses to Eddard he believes his son lied about his sword fight with Arya. The King is unhappy with his son's behavior, unable to accept he could father such a child. The King is also unhappy in his marriage, admitting he only married Cersei because the kingdom needed an heir. Robert also admits he is thinking of leaving Cersei in order to marry the sister of another lord.

At the tourney later, the Hound defeats Ser Jaime, then Ser Gregor faces Ser Loras. Loras'...
