Summary

In Chapter 5, Polly D follows Ry after Stein’s lecture. She takes Ry to a club with wood paneling and open fires near Trafalgar Square for a drink. Polly tells Ry that transgender is “a good look” (97) and then asks if she can interview Ry. Ry says that they are no Caitlyn Jenner and turns Polly down. Polly soon changes subjects, however, and begins to ask Ry about Professor Stein. Polly says she does not trust the way AI is being sold to the public. They discuss the fact that coming changes to the world will probably not be gradual. Polly hopes that Ry will help her get to Stein, but Ry tells her they are not the key to that door.
