Alex Cross

One of the best homicide detectives in Washington, Alex Cross is a widower with three children - little Alex, Damon and Jannie. They are under the care and supervision of Nana Cross when Alex is called to work. He has promised to retire, but on the day it becomes effective, his best friend John Samson shows up and asks for his professional help with a friend of his. Alex of course can not refuse. Alex has a frame and appearance that Samson describes as being like Ali when he was younger.
