Fighting Shadows Summary

Hours later, Eragon can feel the magic returning to his mind. He reaches out to unlock the door to his cell mentally, and he hears the click as it pops open. He gets up and walks warily into the hall. He is feeling stronger than ever and knows that his body can withstand much more than it ever could when he first learned magic.

Eragon steps into the hall and remembers he should call Saphira for assistance. He does, and she replies for him not to move because Murtagh is headed there to rescue him. Just then a small group of soldiers enters the hallway, and they see Eragon and his open cell door and charge him.
