Daret Summary

Eragon and Brom cautiously approach a village on the Ninor River called Daret because they do not know what to expect after Yazuac. They enter the village and find that it is empty. Moments later, they decide to leave, and they are riding out when a man from the village jumps in front of them. He commands Brom and Eragon to halt and informs them that there are 60 archers ready to shoot.

Brom tells the man that he and Eragon are on their way to a relative's house and are in need of supplies. Brom agrees that they will buy supplies and then leave town. The man's name is Trevor, and he tells Brom that Urgals have forced his village into these measures to protect themselves. Trevor asks Brom to carry a message saying.....
