Admonishments Summary

Eragon limps out of the alley where he destroyed the two Urgals. He finds Brom, who is bleeding profusely from his arm. The wound is not mortal, but it needs attention. At that moment, an angry Saphira lands and demands to know who has attacked Brom and Eragon. Eragon tells the dragon about the events in the alley. They decide to leave the empty village immediately, fearing any more lurking Urgals.

Saphira lifts the injured Brom onto her back. They travel on warily, while Eragon realizes what has happened. He thinks about the magic he used in Yazuac to kill the enemy. When they land later, they talk about the mistakes they made, and Saphira is angry she was not with Eragon. Brom asks Eragon whether he had used any magic before, and the young man says he never has.
