Revelation at Yazuac Summary

Eragon and Brom continue on their travels, and they are headed for a village called Yazuac. As they near the town, they decide to have Saphira wait nearby so she will not be seen. Saphira objects to being hidden away, but they go on anyway. They arrive at the entrance of the town cautiously. Eragon hears no dogs barking, and they are wary, so they decide to enter Yazuac via the side.

The town is shuttered, and as they walk to the center, they are stunned to see that at the center of the square, a mountain of dead bodies is piled up. Eragon gasps and cries as he spots a dead baby speared by a blade. Eragon kills a crow that was eyeing the dead child's body, and then he vomits.
