A Name of Power Summary

As Eragon and his cousin Roran leave Carvahall, Eragon's cousin tells him that a factory owner named Dempton has offered Roran a job in his mill. The job will take Roran far away from Carvahall, his own father, and Eragon. Roran informs Eragon that he is going to propose marriage to Katrina.

Eragon is surprised and taken aback by Roran's decision. Roran says the decision is final. Eragon worries that his uncle will not accept his cousin's decision because they need Roran to work at the farm.

Eragon realizes he must accept Roran's decision, and his cousin must work at the mill to support a wife. When they arrive at the farm, Eragon visits the dragon. He feels differently now that Brom has told him that dragons are as intelligent as humans. As.....
