Summary

In Chapter 11, Eleanor overheard her coworkers discussing the office’s annual Christmas lunch. They asked Eleanor where she wanted to have the lunch, but Eleanor had not given it much thought since it was still summer. After work, Eleanor met Raymond and they walked to the hospital. It was a Wednesday and Eleanor would miss her first weekly phone call with Mummy in years. At the hospital, Sammy introduced Eleanor and Raymond to his family. Sammy’s daughter Laura invited Eleanor and Raymond to a party at her house that weekend to celebrate Sammy getting out of the hospital. In Chapter 12, Eleanor went to Nails Etcetera to get a manicure during her lunch break. The experience disappointed Eleanor. The price of the manicure also shocked her.
