Chapters 30-32 Summary

Thomas Curl is very sick with infection and has been drinking steadily to keep the pain at a dull roar. Decker meets Curl and Catherine beside the lake. Curl announces that he plans to kill both Decker and Catherine. Decker asks Curl to take a picture first to commemorate their last moment together. Curl agrees. Curl pushes the button on the camera and it explodes, killing him instantly. Tile and Garcia are trying to row to the place where Queenie waits, but are afraid it will take all day and they will miss the weigh in. At the same time, Gault has already arrived at Queenie's brushpile and is attempting to catch the award-winning fish.
