Lamar Pye

Lamar Pye is a convicted murderer who escapes from the penitentiary because he was forced to kill a member of a rival gang. Lamar is concerned that the other members of the gang will come after him for retribution, so Lamar devises a plan to escape with his cousin, Odell, and another inmate, Richard Peed. Lamar is a very intelligent man who knows the inner workings of the prison so well that he is able to pull off the escape in a matter of minutes. Lamar and his gang escape in the truck belonging to the Hostess guy. From there, Lamar needs to find weapons but is smart enough to know the police will be looking for him to rob a gun store, so he goes to a private home where he knows the owner keeps large weapons for his hunting hobby.
