Chapters 3-6 Summary

In chapter 3, Lamar instructs Odell to kill the driver of the Hostess delivery van after learning the identity of a man who is rumored to be a hunter and therefore a safe source of weapons for Lamar and his gang. As soon as the man is dead, Odell goes happily back to munching the Twinkies in the back of the truck. In chapter 4, C.D. Henderson finds himself telling a story about the heyday of his career about how he found the man who blew up an airplane based on the books the man checked out of the library, while sneaking drinks from a bottle of whiskey.
