Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption, Part 3 Summary

Red Smith discusses several different types of jailbreaks, some more successful than others. After he and Andy Dufresne talk about Mexico, he begins to guess that Andy wants to escape. Andy escapes in 1975. That morning, the guards discover Andy is missing from his locked cell. No one can figure out how he got out and the warden is called. Warden Sam Norton arrives, furious that Andy escaped. He pulls down Andy's poster, now of Linda Ronstadt, and finds a giant hole. Norton sends a guard, Rory Tremont, down through the hole, and he finds out that Andy cut through a sewer pipe and crawled down it to escape.
