Summary

The next journal entry is titled “The Time Me and Greg Had a Two-Night Sleepover.” Rowley begins by saying the reader may be expecting to read about all the fun they had, but he says “It was not fun at ALL” (167). Rowley's grandmother got sick and his parents plan to go see her. Mrs. Heffley offers to keep Rowley for the weekend. Greg and Rowley were both excited when Mrs. Jefferson agrees. She packs extra underwear “just in case” and a photo of her and her husband that Rowley can look at if he misses them. The weekend begins on a good note with them playing video games and making prank calls to a boy named Scotty Douglas until Scotty's mother calls Mrs. Heffley and complains.
