Greg Heffley

Greg Heffley is the main character and narrator of the novel “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Ugly Truth”. Greg is the son of Frank and Susan, is the younger brother of Rodrick, and the older brother of Manny. He is best friends with Rowley. Greg is not looking forward to the time between Thanksgiving and Christmas when the novel begins, for he is always worried about being on his best behavior so Santa will bring him lots of presents. Greg begins the novel pressed for money. He needs money to buy accessories for his virtual Chihuahua on Net Kritterz, but his mom won’t give him any money. She is convinced he needs to learn the value of a dollar, and says he must work to earn the money he spends. Greg decides to ask for cash using the Giving Tree at Church.
