Summary

Greg writes on a Wednesday in February that it finally snowed. He and Rowley decided to try to build the world record snowman they’d been wanting to build for the past couple of years. As the bottom ball for the snowman got bigger, Greg realized the weight of the ball was pulling up all the sod his father had laid that fall. It had also stopped snowing so they decided instead to use the ball to punish the kids from Whirley Street who used their hill for sledding by rolling it down the hill when they began playing. On Thursday Greg writes that he destroyed the tiny snowman that his brother, Manny, was building. His father reacted by coming out with a snow shovel and destroying Greg’s big snowball.
