Summary

In the first part of January, before school started, Greg writes that he came up with a new game where Rowley would ride the Big Wheel down the hill on their street while Greg tried to hit him with a football. The following day, Thursday, Greg writes that his mom made him finish writing his Christmas thank you notes before he was allowed to go back to Rowley’s house. It was not until Friday that Greg was successful in knocking Rowley off the Big Wheel. The ball went under the front tire of the bike causing Rowley to fall off. He tried to use his left hand to break his fall. When Greg couldn’t cheer Rowley up using any of his jokes, he figured Rowley was really hurt.
