Summary

In "Matthias," Matthias and Karin argue about letting Hannah live with them. Karin thinks it is a bad idea. The doctors think Hannah has Asperger's. Matthias scoffs. Hannah seems to be adapting just fine. Karin thinks he is trying to replace Lena with Hannah. She knows he gave Hannah's picture to the paper. She is tired of his communications with the press.

In "Jasmin," Jasmin cannot stop hearing the children's voices. She hears her captor's voice too.

Finally she calls Kirsten. Kirsten visits, asking her questions about what happened. Jasmin explains some of the newspaper articles are misleading, but does not admit that she sometimes wishes she could "agree to an interview, to put them right" (159). Then she shows Kirsten the letter. Kirsten is skeptical when Jasmin suggests the children wrote it.
