Love Summary
Miss Rose recognizes the pangs of first love in Eliza and is determined to keep her from making any fateful errors. However, she does see the appeal of the young man, once she looks past his pale coloring and threadbare suit. Mama Fresia also detects the fury in Eliza's heart, and along with Miss Rose, vows to keep an eye on the girl.
Eliza intuitively knows that her actions are being monitored and tries to maintain an air of normalcy, not to betray her raging feelings for this boy whose name she still does not know.
