Egypt is the country in which Sophia and Charles were working together when they met and fell in love.

Mario’s is the restaurant where Sophia and Charles meet on Charles’ first evening back in London. It is during their dinner that Charles learns that Sophia’s grandfather was possibly murdered.

Gay Shamrock

The Gay Shamrock is the name of the restaurant where Aristide and Brenda met. Brenda claimed she did not know that Aristide was the owner of that restaurant when she began bemoaning her hard luck to him.

Three Gables

Three Gables is the proper name of the house where Aristide lived with his children, sister-in-law, and grandchildren. It is in this house that Aristide was murdered and where most of the investigation of the murder took place. Charles found himself calling it Crooked House because Sophia had repeated part of a child's nursery...
