Summary

Chapter 9, From Fire Unto Fire – Jace catches up with Clary outside in the rain. Clary demands her phone back. Jace returns it. He explains he is trying to help Simon, but Clary is angered that Jace hasn’t bothered to let he know, or to speak with her at all. They begin desperately kissing. She wants to know why he has been avoiding her. Jace tells her that it is because he loves her, that he can’t live without her. Isabelle interrupts them, saying she is looking for Simon. It is Kyle who finds Simon over Maureen, dragging him off her. He tells Simon to back away from Maureen, and says that he will deal with her. A woman in a long black coat then approaches Simon, asking him if he is alright. She hands him her card and leaves...
