Book Two, Chapter Fifteen - Chapter Eighteen Summary

In Chapter Fifteen, Cinder marvels at the view of New Beijing from the castle, since the city's dirt and poverty are virtually unseen from this level. She knows, however, that she has to return to Adri in order to save Iko, and to wait for a time she can be free. When she does return home, Cinder claims the researchers didn't want her, and sent her back. She and Adri argue fiercely, with Adri reminding her she is useless and unwanted, and Cinder retorting that she is paying the way for the entire family to survive. Cinder changes and leaves the apartment to go back to work, with Iko in tow. Iko is thrilled to see her, and reminders her that with the money she is going to get from her...
