Book One, Chapter Four - Chapter Eight Summary

Chapter Four finds Peony playfully chastising Cinder for not coming to get her when the Prince arrived in her booth. As the two talk, even Peony realizes Cinder now has a small crush on Prince Kai. Cinder finds the piece for the hover she needs, as Peony reminds Cinder that Kai will be looking for a bride at the ball. However, she has also heard the prince will be marrying Queen Levana, the Queen of the Lunar colony. The Lunars are a group stemming from Earth, but who have changed, and who now have powers to brainwash humans. They are greedy and violent, and the Queen is supposedly the worst, as she killed her older sister, her own husband, and forced her stepdaughter to mutilate herself.
