Part 3, Hunters: Chapter 29, Paying Respects and Chapter 30, Cops and Corpses Summary

Gilbert Bendetti, the night man at the coroner's office, takes advantage of his job to have sex with the corpses. He is waiting for Jody to thaw out so that he can have sex with her. Just as he is pulling his pants down, though, she wakes up. Gilbert has a heart attack from the shock. Finding herself in the morgue with no explanation, Jody at first thinks that Tommy must be dead. Then, she calls the Safeway to try to find him. Simon answers and tells Jody that he will come pick her up and explain where Tommy is.

Simon meets Jody and tells her that Tommy's suspected in the Whiplash murders. He also says that he has figured out that she's a vampire...
