Chapter 3 Summary

The research vessel launches into an immediate search and rescue operation for Dirk Pitt, Jr. and Dahlgren. Three hours later, they are spotted near a fire on the island roasting crab legs. When the rescue team shows up, Pitt asks them why they didn't bring lemon or butter. It is explained that after the helicopter went down, Pitt found a way to escape. Back on the research vessel, they decide to head back to port so the sick scientists can get medical care. Dirk Pitt, Jr. and Sarah finish the chapter by talking.....
