Beauty awakens and gazes at the sea of beautiful women around her, one woman standing apart from the others. When Beauty makes eye contact, the strange woman attempts to hide, attracting the attention of the other women in the Harem. They all look at her, and seeing who she is, bow to show respect. From this, Beauty deduces that this beautiful one must be the Sultana.

Beauty is extremely attracted and interested in her and wishes the Sultana would join the others. They retain eye contact until one of the other women bends to kiss Beauty, moving into their line of sight. Beauty gives over to the sensations and pleasure, falling asleep. She awakens again at twilight and the wives take her back to the passage. Beauty glances back at the Harem and sees the Sultana watching her still.
