Chapter 55, Tyrion Summary

Tyrion Lannister gets a report from Varys that Bran and Rickon Stark are dead. Tyrion tells Cersei over dinner, and tells her to take good care of Sansa. They discuss further happenings in the war. Cersei is afraid Petyr Baelish betrayed them to Stannis, but Tyrion is not worried. Cersei said Varys told her Sandor Clegane is to fight, not guard Joffrey. Tyrion said that Sandor and Ser Balon will be needed to fight, and that the other Kingsguard members can guard Joffrey, who must be seen on the wall to hearten the men. Cersei threatens Tyrion, as she wants Joffrey well protected.

Cersei tells Tyrion she knows about his whore and accuses him of wanting to kill Joffrey. She brings out Alayaya, the whore from the brothel, who has been beaten. She says she will hold Alayaya hostage so Tyrion...
