Chapter 50, Tyrion Summary

Tyrion Lannsiter is sending some of his men to harrass Stannis' army, which is moving on King's Landing. Tyrion is worried because many of his men are mercenaries and may not be willing to die for him. The City Watch is also strong, but only some of them can be trusted. Tyrion sees there are structures outside the walls which may help the invaders get over and tells Bronn to burn them. He goes back to the castle and placates several merchants who had their ships taken. Next, he attends a ceremony instituting new Kingsguard. Ser Balon and Ser Osmund are replacing Ser Boros and Ser Preston. Ser Boros is being replaced because he didn't try to protect Tommen when Ser Jacelyn's men took him on the way to Rosby.
