Chapter 49, Daenerys Summary

Against the advice of her men, Daenerys Targaryen enters the House of the Undying. The house is like a maze and she must follow one path through it, always taking the right door and going up stairs. She must also ignore any who talk to her on the way, including versions of herself from the past or future. Pyat, one of the warlocks, tells her each of the rooms contains visions of the past, present, or things that will never happen. He gives her a drink which he says will open her senses. She goes in with her dragon, Drogon, and sees many visions. Each tableau seems to be a future or past event in the Seven Kingdoms.
