Chapter 24, Jon Summary

Jon Snow and the other rangers of the Night's Watch have found seven wilding villages deserted. They come to Craster's Keep, where they plan to stop. Jon goes back through the group to alert the other Night's Watch members of this plan. Craster is a wilding man who helps the Watch. When they get there, Craster tells them he has not seen the ranger Benjen, but another ranger, Ser Wymar, and his group did pass through. Mormont mentions wights that attacked them at the Castle Black, and Craster pretends he doesn't know about what they are talking. Craster lets them stay the night. Mormont bribes him to tell him what he knows about the wildings and where they have gone. Jon walks around Craster's Keep, saving one of the pregnant wives from being teased by some of the men.
