Chapter 9, Tyrion and Chapter 10, Arya Summary

Tyrion Lannister drinks with Lord Janos Slynt of the city watch. They discuss finding a successor to Janos as head of the watch when Janos leaves to rule Harrenhal, and Janos gives him a list of six men he thinks are best. Tyrion considers Ser Jacelyn Bywater, who was knighted after losing his hand in a battle, but Janos says he is too stolid and is also crippled. Janos wants Allar Deem, but Tyrion says no one likes Allar, who Janos sent to kill a baby in a tavern one time and he also killed the mother needlessly. The baby was King Robert's bastard, but Janos won't tell him who ordered it killed. They discuss Eddard's execution. Tyrion insults Janos, tells him his children will inherit his land and that Janos is going to join...
