The 20 enjoyable, interactive classroom activities that are included will help your students understand the text in amusing ways. 1. Pigeon Shoot

Research the pigeon shoot in Hegins, Pennsylvania and report on what has happened to that event.

2. Pigeon Picture

Draw a detailed picture of a pigeon using the descriptions given in the book and any outside sources you may find. Color the picture with realistic colors.

3. Interview

Interview three people about their opinion of pigeons. Develop five questions to ask each person you interview. Then compare your results with classmates.
