Quote of the Day
Come up with a list of 2 or 3 of their favorite quotes from The Good Old Days. Students should compile the list of quotes and draw one quote a day to discuss the significance of the quote.
Students should choose a medium, such as sculpture, painting, sketching, or another form and create a representation of one of the people mentioned in The Good Old Days. When complete, students should put their artwork on display for the class.
Imagine that you are a journalist living at the time of the Nazi Party and write about what was happening during this time. Students should share their article with the class.
Write an obituary for one of the people mentioned in the book and summarize his or her life experiences, family information, and other pertinent information as described in the book.
