Character Descriptions
This section provides a short description of all the major characters in the book. This can be printed out as a study guide for students, used as a "key" for leading a class discussion, or you can jump to the quiz/homework section to find worksheets that incorporate these descriptions into a variety of question formats.
Characters
Lawrence Bragg - This character is the director of the Cavendish lab and one of the founders of crystallography.
Erwin Chargaff - This character is an expert in DNA and the first to propose the correct pairing of the four base molecules of its structure: adenine pairing with thymine and guanine pairing with cytosine.
Francis Crick - This character is twelve years older than Watson and is described by his younger colleague as ' 'almost totally unknown" and ' 'often not appreciated."
