Fun Classroom Activities

The 20 enjoyable, interactive classroom activities that are included will help your students understand the text in amusing ways. Use Kingston's novel China Men to create a visual representation of Maxine Hong Kingston's family tree. Begin with her great grandfather that goes to Hawa'i. Pair wives with each China Man when the information is included in Kingston's narrative. Use a diagram to show each generation and their relationships with previous generations as well as future generations. The family tree should end with Maxine's own family.
