This section contains 30 daily lessons. Each one has a specific objective and offers at least three (often more) ways to teach that objective. Lessons include classroom discussions, group and partner activities, in-class handouts, individual writing assignments, at least one homework assignment, class participation exercises and other ways to teach students about the text in a classroom setting. Objective: Act 1, Scene 1 As the play opens, the reader is introduced to the setting, a small town called Cheapside, which is a historical place that carried a lot of significance in London. The objective of this lesson is for students to explore the setting of Cheapside and to discuss how the setting of a story can affect the reaction an audience has to it.
