Fun Classroom Activities

The 20 enjoyable, interactive classroom activities that are included will help your students understand the text in amusing ways. Fun Classroom Activities include group projects, games, critical thinking activities, brainstorming sessions, writing poems, drawing or sketching, and more that will allow your students to interact with each other, be creative, and ultimately grasp key concepts from the text by "doing" rather than simply studying.

1. Draw the Characters

Give students time in class to draw a sketch of the characters, what they are wearing, etc. Artistic ability is less important than seeing that they grasp the general idea of their appearance.

2. Movie Day

There have been two films released by the name Boesman & Lena. The original stars Athol Fugard as Boesman, and the recent film adaptation stars Danny Glover. Give students an opportunity to see some of the scenes in class.
