Unwind Overview

Unwind by Neal Shusterman, written in 2007, is a science fiction novel that takes place in the United States after the second Civil War, which started over the issue of abortion. The two armies of Pro-Life and Pro-Choice come to a resolution after the Bill of Life is passed. This leads into the stories of Connor, Risa, and Lev who attempt to escape the enforcement of the Unwinding Accord and their fear or duty of being “unwound.”
