Zahrah Tsami

Zahrah is the main protagonist and the one narrating as she writes her story from the future. Born dada, or someone who is destined for wisdom and greatness, Zahrah has vines growing naturally in her hair. However, since many people do not understand what a dada actually is, Zahrah is frequently bullied for being different and occasionally wishes she had not been born special at all. Her best friend Dari encourages her to embrace her differences and learn more about herself, especially after Zahrah learns she can fly. Their close relationship is why Zahrah is willing to go into the Greeny Jungle to retrieve an antidote for Dari, despite her fears. In the end, Zahrah becomes a legend among those who live in the jungle and is determined to tell her story to anyone willing to listen.
